I have been involved in undergraduate student government since my freshman year. This year, as a senator, I am going to build a strong initiative on school issues by representing all W.P. Carey business school students. I would like to encourage student organizations to voice concerns regarding all aspects of their experience by assisting appropriations applications, attending meetings, and informing groups of current legislation as requested. Additionally, I am a facilitator of Culture @ ASU. I develop partnerships with students and staff supports to promote the initiative throughout the university. For the purpose of creating a multi-cultural campus and promoting different cultures to encourage students to get involved in multi-cultural campus activities, I assist and collaborate with various student groups and organizations through social media platforms, webpages, as well as ensure event entry into ASU website and priority events are maintained, planned and implemented at the highest quality level through appropriate delegation and follow up. Meanwhile, as co-director of Coalition of International Student, I provide resources for international students to help them better transition from different cultures by assisting different culture events.

I am a native Arizonan and I have always been a Sun Devil. I am currently a Sophomore enrolled in the W.P. Carey School of Business, double majoring in Business Legal Studies and Finance. During my time at Arizona State, I have become involved in the Student Alumni Association, the Medallion Scholarship Program, Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity, Devils’ Advocates, Alpha Lambda Delta Honors Society, Collegiate DECA, Undergraduate Student Government, and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. Additionally, I currently work as a Programs Assistant at the ASU Alumni Association housed at Old Main. My philosophy has always been – above all – to listen to student voices and express those voices in University proceedings. I believe in always advocating for what the students of ASU want and need in their school, and bringing it to fruition. I believe in creating a sense of camaraderie among our student body, creating a network of interdependence among campus clubs and organizations, and vigorously working together as a unified force of students, faculty, and staff toward achieving Arizona State University’s true potential.

My name is Nathan Duell, and I am junior studying Supply Chain Management and Economics through the W.P. Carey School of Business. I am involved with multiple clubs and a church at ASU, which have helped make my college journey incredible thus far. I ran for USG Senate to ensure that the voice of students is heard on campus and to represent my fellow business classmates. With my future aspirations in politics and business, I want to serve my peers while at ASU and improve my campus during my time in college. My goal as the Appropriations Committee Chair is to promote a fair and transparent appropriations process, which maximizes utility for undergraduate students.
